1.) Before you begin make sure of the following: Office 365 License (You can check with IT if your not sure), All Microsoft office products are closed.
2.) Uninstall your old office applications, you can do this by searching for "Control Panel" -> "Uninstall a program" -> select "Microsoft office Standard 2010" and follow the prompts.
3.) You will than hit "Uninstall" It will ask if you want to continue hit "yes". After you hit "yes" on the last step make sure all your work is saved and that you are in a position to reboot, after hitting "yes" your computer will reboot.
4.) After your computer has rebooted open a web browser of your choice and go to portal.office.com and sign in with your full e-mail and password.
5.) Once you are signed in, on the top right hand side click on "install Office" -> "Other install options" -> "View Apps & Devices". Make sure that version says "64-bit" and click on "Install Office".
6.) Once the download is completed run the installer and sign into your new office applications.
